Title: I Will Not Coming Out Empty Handed

Theme: Prepare To Have a Prosperous Year

Praise And Worship:

The Praise and Worship songs, led by the New Wine Mass Choir included Hosanna, Blessed be the rock, Let It Rise, Only You are Holy and We bow down and Worship Yahweh – a time to reflect on God’s goodness and faithfulness to us so far this year.

Pastor Michael began a new series titled ‘Prepare to Have a Prosperous Year’. From his foundation scriptures, Psalm 65:11 and Exodus 3:21, he began by assuring us that the New Year is abounding with God’s goodness – crowned with all of God’s blessings.

He further said ‘God has already pre-programmed the entire year of 2014 for you; there is no reason to fret. All you need to do is to walk into what He has already prepared for you’.

Now, In order to experience all that God has for us in the coming New Year, two things must take place:

Firstly, Our ‘Egyptians’ must not go with us: Egyptians represents those issues, pain, disappointments, struggles and challenges that we’ve struggled with over the years. God defeated the Egyptian army in an amazing way; the Lord will deal with all our issues by His mighty power, once we hand them over to Him.

Secondly, we must not go empty-handed: Shortly before the Israelites left Egypt, God commanded Moses to tell them to approach the Egyptians for ‘articles of silver and gold’. Similarly, in those previous experiences that we’ve had, are locked up hidden treasures that could propel us forward. ‘The strength for tomorrow is embedded in the pains of yesterday.’
