Pastor Michael Olawore

Title: Be Strong And Do the Work

Theme: The Glory of the Latter House

Praise And Worship:

The phenomenal worship team led us in a glorious time of Praise and worship with the following songs: Hello, Let the Glory of the Lord Rise Among us, Draw me Close to you and More and More, and Glory to God.

Pastor Michael Olawore concluded the series titled ‘The Glory of the Latter House’. Previous messages in this series were “God is up to Something Great” and “Activating the Glory”.

Today's message was titled “Be Strong and Do the Work – It is Time to Make a Mark”, and our foundation Scripture was taken from Haggai 2: 4-5. In today's message, we were encouraged not to lose heart or be discouraged with the vicissitudes of life but rather remain strong, resolute and determined in spite of it. Pastor Michael pointed out that we cannot achieve our dreams or fulfil our purpose from a position of weakness; there is work to be done and we’ve got to be strong and be fully aware that God is with us.

Citing Proverbs 29:18, Pastor Michael taught us that “vision” is paramount to our success in life as it makes us passionate about our dreams and propels us to action. He therefore encouraged us to embrace our vision/dreams/purpose as this will help us stay strong and focused.

He concluded by stating that the most important thing we need, to ensure that we remain strong is the Presence of God. He said God's presence will guarantee us strength. He charged us however, to strive to remain connected to God - the source of our strength and power - as without God our efforts to advance and go forward will be futile.
